Srinagar : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a complete blackout will be observed, tomorrow, (Friday) night between 8:00pm to 9:00pm as a mark of protest against the stepped up Indian state terrorism in the territory and Indian machinations employed to suppress the Kashmir movement.
Call for the observance of the blackout has been given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations besides the activists of civil society, trade and other groups.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar appealed to the freedom-loving people of the territory to observe an exemplary blackout against the worst type of Indian state terrorism inflicted on the subjugated people of Kashmir to curb their ongoing resistance movement for their inalienable right to self-determination.
The APHC and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations also said that the blackout would be a symbol of the Kashmiri people’s resistance against the Indian tactics to do away with their distinct identity. They added that it would demonstrate people’s demand to withdraw Indian illegal actions of August 5, 2019 till they are given their inalienable right to self-determination.
